Country legend claude gray
In a career spanning more than 50 years, singer-songwriter Claude Gray continues to perform and record new material. Gray has toured and appeared live with numerous country stars including Johnny Cash, George Jones, Roger Miller and Rose Maddox amongst many others. In 1960, Gray recorded the hit single 'Family Bible,' a song which he and some friends bought from Willie Nelson for $100. Reggae superstar Bob Marley was a fan of Gray's hit single "I'll Just Have Another Cup Of Coffee," which he covered and retitled as "One Cup Of Coffee."
Combining elements of country, jazz, folk and rockabilly, Gray was a key figure in the "Countrypolitan" movement known as the "Nashville Sound."
In the coming months, watch for new reissues with releases on vinyl, CD and download formats.
